Boat Ramp looking downriver-typical of view across the vallies!

Boat ramp looking upriver

Another view of downriver

First cast...fish on!

Another nice guy about 13"

Thought I had a weed til I stripped in the line and found this little rainbow on my midge....what a fight!

The first gravel bar where we stopped and fished. Water is absolutely gin clear and the fish are stacked in 1-3' water! Marble Canyon Guides have some nice jetboats that draft 4" on plane for gettin to all those great places :)

Brad fished for a few minutes...enough to catch a rainbow that outsized every bow I had caught all morning....hehe just wait til later Brad :)

Annnnd the final cast :) About a 18" fish if I remember right?

Looking upriver from the first gravel bar....
They say the scenery is as good as the fishing...they don't lie!

Pulling away from the first gravel bar... the fish turned off for a while so we decided to move....then we found out what they were keyed in on :)

The competition out fishing on the upper end of the first gravel bar...with fish on!

Looking back at the first gravel bar....unreal scenery! My bags are packed for next year!

Looking downriver en-route to the second gravel bar

And another shot downriver

This is one of my favorite pics here, looking upriver,
shows the incredible and diverse colors of the rocks!

Looking downriver, think this was south of the horseshoe.

Here's a close-up of the rocks to show what they look like...colors are unreal!

Some areas have vegetation as seen here.

Coming into the horseshoe looking upriver

Tremendous walls of rock and some big slides!

In the horseshoe looking downriver

Coming out of the horseshoe...here comes more bows :)

Second gravel bar...fish on real quick:)
The water is knee deep here, look at how clear it is to the bottom!

This bugger grabbed my midge while I had the last one in the net...Surprised both of us when the drag started going off on the reel sitting on the gunwale of the boat!

This is my favorite pic! Shows the natural color the rainbows have! Best fish pic ever! This was about a 20" fish around 3 lbs!

Nother nice bruiser!

And another! Can you see the cloud i'm standing on yet? :)

Nice 2.5-3 lber...agressive fish!

Another 3 lber, these guys have eyes as big as quarters! Most of these fish still have spawning colors as this is post spawn season here. Brad makes it look easy grabbing these guys without a net! We made a good team that day!

Bout a 3.5 lber and man what a jumper! This guy did 3 tail walks!

And the biggest one of the day, over 4 lbs, I flipped him upside down and pulled the midge out of the corner of his mouth, well neither of us were prepared for him going nuts when I flipped him back... He was SO BIG I couldn't fit two hands around him!!! The splash on the right is the fish!

This is also the proverbial big fish that got away picture! But I had a witness :) I think we both groaned very loudly when this guy did this :)

Late afternoon on the river, a tired but completely satisfied guide and angler heading home!

How's that for a sky blue color? Don't get much better that the day we had, even with an intermittent wind that made some good wind knots....whoops I mean casting screw-ups :)

Was this about where we hit the old fart's wake? Yeehaa!

A typical view driving through the valleys! WOW!

100 mph...can't stop now, gotta drive 4 hours more through the mountains back to Las Vegas!

Now this was a way cool view of the valley, that's about a 700' drop directly in front of me...
no guardrails :)

Here's a close-up of the drop!

How's that for afternoon color?

Hope you enjoyed the pics!
